    Creating Sanctuary
    Virgo Daily Horoscope
You may feel a strong urge to retreat into the stillness and serenity of your personal sanctuary today. The world may seem large and imposing, leaving you feeling lost and in need of spiritual sustenance. This can be a wonderful time to stay at home and enjoy its comforts. You may find that it's easier to ponder the meaning of your life and contemplate a path to fulfillment when you are comfortably ensconced within your personal sanctuary's walls. If you don't feel entirely comfortable in your home or you cannot achieve the sense of peace you desire, consider taking a few moments to clear and cleanse your space. Putting away unnecessary objects and removing clutter from your home today will help you turn your home into a retreat where you can find tranquility.

The peaceful home you create for yourself can become a personal haven that gives you a place to escape from life's daily stresses. When your personal space feels nurturing and comfortable, you can leave your anxieties and tensions outside your door. You'll always know that you can turn to your home when you need peace, privacy, beauty, and an opportunity for reflection. There, you can retreat from your everyday pressures and rejuvenate your spirit. Each time you return to your home, you will feel restfulness wash over your soul. The small adjustments you make to your home today will ensure that it offers you a place to recover from the demands of the world.

  • Willing to Sacrifice... great spirit of simple people...

I have seen the film "Willing to Sacrifice"

This film vividly tells the story of the Bishnoi religious community, specifically Nihal Chand, who died at the hands of poachers in 1996. Colorful visuals and gripping narrative document the history of this remarkable sect which believes in protecting wildlife and was founded in the deserts of Rajastan 500 years ago .

You can find this film if you like here:

The Bishnois are a community of nature worshippers in the state of Rajasthan, India. They also have a sizeable presence in the neighbouring states of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat,Haryana, Punjab and Delhi.

The sect was founded by Guru Jambheshwar (b. 1451) after a drought in the Marwar region of India. He had laid down 29 principles to be followed by the sect. Bish means 20 and noi means 9; thus, Bishnoi translates as Twenty-niners [1]. Further, the Guru directed the worship of lord Vishnu (Bishnu), thus the sect is called Vishnoi or Bishnoi. Killing animals and the felling of trees were banned. One of his 29 principles states "JEEV DAYA PALNI, RUNKH LIL0 NAHI GHAVE" which means to protect trees and animals, thus trees and animals are considered to be sacred by the Bishnois.

Bishnois are strong lovers of wild animals. It is because of their protection that in Bishnoi-dominated areas, deer and antelope (such as blue bulls, black bucks, chinkaras and chowsinghas) are seen grazing peacefully in their fields despite the fact that the State of Rajasthan where the Bishnois mainly live, faces severe water shortages.

In recent years, the Bishnoi community has launched strong protests against the killing of black bucks by Salman Khan, a Bollywood film star and Mansur Ali Khan of Pataudi, a former Indian cricketer. Noted chartered accountant and social activist Mangilal Bishnoi led the demonstration against actor Salman Khan in Mumbai. In New Delhi, Mr. Sharvan Bishnoi(sharan) given the notice to Menaka Gandhi, Salman Khan was convicted on the evidence of Bishnoi witnesses.

    Guilty Pleasures

    Feeling Guilty about Being Happy

Happiness is an experience we all long for and deserve in our lives. We may wish for the happiness that comes with a much-needed vacation or an exciting new love affair, yet when the actual experience of happiness emerges, we may be too overcome with guilt to enjoy it. If guilt is interfering with your ability to feel joy, you may find relief in looking at the beliefs you hold about yourself and what it means for you to be happy.

Guilt about feeling happy can arise for different reasons. Deep down you may believe that you don't deserve to be happy because you hurt someone in the past, had more than others growing up, or maybe you received a mean comment from someone you admired. Perhaps it once seemed that painful experiences always followed happy ones; now whenever you begin to feel happy, you find yourself waiting for the other shoe to drop. Happiness may even just feel uncomfortable because you've gotten so used to feeling down. The truth is that when you feel too guilty to let yourself enjoy positive emotions, you are denying a part of yourself that has a right to exist. By limiting your life experience to just the negative feelings, you are cutting yourself off from the fullness of life which includes all of the positive emotions as well. Fortunately, you can begin to shift the way you respond to happiness even in this moment.

From now on, when happiness begins to blossom in your heart, try to accept it, relish in it, ask it to stay. It's okay to feel happy even if you believe you don't deserve it. Feeling good is an expression of your wholeness and your connection with life. The next time happiness appears for you, try not to feel guilty about it. Instead, welcome your happiness in like a long-awaited friend.

  • The Island Which Caught My Eyes...

    island

I saw this wonderful island (the territory of Iran) from the air plane. I was on my way back home from UAE. I was so much astonished by the view below that I could hardly breathe. The stewardess brought me my lunch and the fact that I could drink my coffee high above this divine place struck my imagination. That was really great! The world is fantastic!

I have found this image thanks to Google maps:
