The 15th of Av is undoubtedly the most mysterious day of the Jewish calendar. A search of the Shulchan Aruch ("Code of Jewish Law") reveals no observances or customs for this date, except for the instruction that the tachnun (confession of sins) and similar portions should be omitted from the daily prayers--as is the case with all festive dates-- and that beginning on the 15th of Av, one should increase one’s study of Torah, since at this time of the year the nights begin to grow longer and "the night was created for study." And the Talmud tells us that many years ago the "daughters of Jerusalem would go dance in the vineyards" on the 15th of Av, and "whoever did not have a wife would go there" to find himself a bride.
And this is the day which the Talmud considers the greatest festival of the year, with Yom Kippur(!) a close second!
Indeed, the 15th of Av cannot but be a mystery. As the "full moon" of the tragic month of Av, it is the festival of the Future Redemption, and thus a day whose essence, by definition, is unknowable to our unredeemed selves.

30th of July is a Jewish holiday – Love Day.
It’s an ancient holiday which is not so much significant nowadays.
In ancient times girls in white dresses were singing and dancing in vineyards.
Young men looking for brides always knew where to go to find happiness.
This holiday united people.
Today the Moon is full.
I have such a childish wish deep in my heart to ask the Moon to give people more wisdom to cherish their Love. Let Full Moon time renew and reinforce Love in our hearts!
Let Love live its full life!
I announce a new holiday today - Full Love Day!!!
Join me!!!
Loads of LOVE!!!

:-)
My American internet friend is a writer. She is going to publish two of my pictures in her book soon and she asked me to write my bio for the book. Today i did it at last ![]()
I found it interesting and funny to tell about myself in the 3rd person ![]()
This is what wrote.
Larisa is a dreamer from Siberia. She lives in Novosibirsk. Her 18 years old daughter is her greatest gift and the best friend.
She has a twisting professional way which sometimes shocks her friends. At the age of 30 Lara stopped teaching English and became a professional psychologist. That was the end of her family life full of abuse and the beginning of a new life full of freedom. Psychology didn’t appear to be the final station. Now Larisa is the art-director of a night club.
Creativeness is her destiny. She is always creative in everything touched by her soul. Curious like a kid, spontaneous, intuitive, she is open to changes. She is an amateur in poetry, photography, painting, belly dance, playing the guitar and etc. Only God knows what she will choose tomorrow to feed her soul and mind.
Lara speaks English and this is the language given to her to talk to people from different countries. She studies psychology and it’s also the language which helps her to discover the mysterious secrets of human nature. She is a creative person and her creativeness is the wonderful language to to carry on a dialogue with the Universe.
Not bad, isnt' it? ![]()

Several days ago i saw a wonderful and funny dream.
I saw a speaking Squirrel :-) We had a nice talk really and i remember the squirrel from my dream was a very interesting and wise interlocutor. It's a pity i don't remember what we were talking about :-)
Surely the Squirrel is the messenger :-) My new totem animal found me proving that there is a very special language for me to talk to my unconscious part and to The Great Reality.
WHAT is the Squirrel's message about?
The Squirrel
When you observe the squirrel in nature they are always busy. They seem to have an endless supply of energy. Seldom do you see a squirrel inactive. Focused on the task at hand, agile and quick, they are constantly preparing for the future by gathering nuts and seeds for later use. Although they are always prepared for what may come they have a tendency to forget where they store things. The forgetfulness of squirrel serves as a reminder to those with this medicine to slow down, pay attention and to stop running frantically in several directions at once.
(((My life now is really full of work. Sometimes my working day starts when i just open my eyes in the morning and ends deeply at night. I spend much energy on it. And very often i forget where i put my things :-) I was looking for my glasses for about 3 months :-) To be honest i was not looking for them at all i just asked myself and my family the only one question: Where are my glasses? And i waited for the moment they will come back again to me :-) And they did as soon as i started to put my things in order :-)))
Squirrels are sociable and communicative. They can be quite vocal both in work and play. Sometimes their continual chatter disturbs the silence, which creates an air of distraction and chaos. If you find yourself disturbed by their constant chatter the squirrel is telling you to speak clearly and effectively or to go within and be still, depending on the circumstances around your situation. Their gathering nature teaches those with this totem how to reserve energy and store things for future use. Honoring the future and readying yourself for change.
(((I have to be very much sociable and have to talk to people a lot. I feel the lack of solitude. I miss hours or may be even days spent in silence. I learnt to switch off my phones. Sometimes i even don't answer the calls. It's really helpful. I chat with people who are interesting to me. And try not to spend my time chatting with the ones who are empty and lifeless. I am taking care of my energy now. And i need changes always. They refresh me)))
Squirrel embodies the quality of trust and is one of the few animals that will eat out of a person's hand. This symbolizes a need to let down your defenses and learn to trust more. The issue of trust can play out in all areas of a person's life from personal intimacy to trusting Great Spirit. Because the squirrel is always prepared those with this medicine must remember that they will be taken care of. Establishing trust where it is presently absent would compliment the power of this medicine.
(((Now i am coming through the trust crisis. Credibility gap. I notice now that i can fell people. My heart and soul help me to understand whom i can trust or not. There are really not so many hands i can eat out of :-) No i feel the balance between the trust and distrust )))
Squirrel represents balance within the circle of gathering and giving out. If squirrel has scampered into your life pay attention to the wisdom it has to offer you. Preparedness and survival skills can be learned from this powerful totem.

((( Oh yes! Gathering and giving out, giving and taking, giving and recieving . I came to this pont understanding some time ago and i am still learning to live in balance. There was a long period in my life when i was much more a giver than a taker. I lost a lot of my energy and power. Time to stop spending my resourses in vain!)))
Squirrel is the gatherer. It is through Squirrel medicine that we learn to to gather and store our energies so they are available at times when they are most needed. Squirrel teaches us the wisdom of preparing for the future, and not squandering all that we have on today.

So my Squirrel's messages are really great and helpful! :-)

On Monday we had a kind of a staff party. We went to the sea side. We have an artificial sea here not far from the city :-)
We had a nice time there eating and drinking beer.
It was very hot. About +30C. Then we saw the rain clouds coming to us closer and closer. Soon it started raining! Huge rain drops began falling from the sky and soon we got wet to the skin! I was not going to bathe in the sea before the rain :-) I saw my coworkers running to the sea under the rain and i joined them screaming like a kid! So i bathed having my trousers on :-) We were bathing in the sea under the rain and it was great! We were laughing and screaming! The water was so warm! Soon the sun came back but it was still raining! Great! Great!! Great!!! We saw 2 rainbows above us! Fantasic! Magic! DIVINE!
We were coming back home wet but happy :-)
I adore rains and thunderstorms! They give me so much power!

Today we have an ancient pagan holiday in Russia - Ivan Kupala Day. People will water each other the whole day long :-) Not all of them know about the origin of this holiday but still they have nice time. Kids and grown-ups have real fun watering each other :-)
Water and Fire ( the Sun) -two great powers of nature and the ancient Salvs worshiped nature and its powers much.
Night on the Eve of Ivan Kupala, by Henryk Hector Siemiradzki.
Ivan Kupala Day (Russian: Иван-Купала; Ukrainian: Івана Купала) is the day of summer solstice celebrated in Russia and Ukraine on 7 July in the Gregorian or New Style calendar, which is currently 24 June in the Julian or Old Style calendar still used by many of the Orthodox Churches.
This is a pagan fertility rite, which has been accepted into the Orthodox Christian calendar, in which it has been associated with John the Baptist, just as St. John's Day (24 June New Style) is a traditional midsummer day in Western Europe with which some pre-Christian traditions have been associated (as discussed by Sir James Frazer, among others). It is opposed to the winter solstice holiday, or Korochun.
According to Vasmer, the name of this holiday combines the words "Ivan", the Slavic name of John (the Baptist), and "Kupala", a word derived from the Slavic word for bathing, as it was the first day of the year when the church sanctioned bathing and swimming in rivers and ponds.
Up to the present day, the Russian Midsummer Night (or Ivan's Day) is known as one of the most expressive East Slavic folk and pagan holidays. Many rites of this holiday are connected with water, fertility and autopurification. The girls, for example, would float their flower garlands on the water of rivers and tell their fortunes from their movement. Lads and girls would jump over the flames of bonfires.
There is an ancient belief that the Eve of Ivan Kupala is the only time of the year when the ferns are blooming. Whoever finds a fern-flower would become immensely rich. Hence, on that night village folk would roam through the forests in search of magical herbs. In Gogol's story The Eve of Ivan Kupala a young man finds the fabulous fern-flower but is cursed by it. The witches' sabbath on the Eve of Ivan Kupala inspired Modest Mussorgsky to compose his Night on Bald Mountain.

MAYA ANGELOU'S
BEST POEM EVER
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ..
enough money within her control to move out and rent a place of her own,
even if she never wants to or needs to...
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE .
something perfect to wear if the employer, or date of her dreams wants
to see her in an hour...
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE .
a youth she's content to leave behind....
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE
a past juicy enough that she's looking forward to retelling it in her
old age....
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ....
a set of screwdrivers, a cordless drill, and a black lace bra...
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE...
one friend who always makes her laugh... and one who lets her cry...
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ...
a good piece of furniture not previously owned by anyone else in her
family...
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ..
eight matching plates, wine glasses with stems, and a recipe for a meal,
that will make her guests feel honored...
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ..
a feeling of control over her destiny...
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
how to fall in love without losing herself..
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
how to quit a job,
break up with a lover,
and confront a friend without ruining the friendship...
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW..
when to try harder... and WHEN TO WALK AWAY...
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
that she can't change the length of her calves, the width of her hips,
or the nature of her parents..
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
that her childhood may not have been perfect..but its over...
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
what she would and wouldn't do for love or more...
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
how to live alone... even if she doesn't like it...
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW..
whom she can trust, whom she can't,
and why she shouldn't take it personally...
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
where to go... be it to her best friend's kitchen table...> or a
charming inn in the woods... when her soul needs soothing..
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
what she can and can't accomplish in a day... a month...and a year...
